Tulancingo and Acaxochitlán, Hidalgo
I am currently waiting at the terminal for the bus back to my city after a couple of days of hiking in the mountains of these two cities. I feel more accomplished than I have in a long time, and it’s a wonderful feeling, even though it’s mixed with an unprecedented level of tiredness.
I have plenty of pictures and videos that I need to sort into a beautiful memory to share later when it’s ready. I want my family to see the stunning places I visited and how beautiful they are.
I experienced the sight of two magnificent and imposing waterfalls, hiked up mountains, and sat at the very edge of some large rock formations near archaeological sites. Best of all, I was able to share food and drinks with my best friend throughout the trip. We almost got lost exploring trails that led to nowhere, and we were guided by a local through the deep wilderness to one of the most secluded and pristine waterfalls.
It was an amazing experience, filled with new sights, new people, and countless learning opportunities. Hidalgo is a magical place, and its people are undoubtedly the best ambassadors of Mexican hospitality. I am truly in love with this place and look forward to discovering more of it, exploring more magical locations, and experiencing everything it has to offer.

A couple of hours later, I just arrived in my city. I’m exhausted, and all I want to do is sleep. I’ll do that now and start sorting through the pictures tomorrow. It was a fantastic weekend.
